Gold River began a $17 million renovation of the property in 2006 that included the construction of an events center and a new pool complex. Gold River was renamed Marnell Gaming in 2011.
Marnell Gaming announced plans in 2013 to renovate and expand the Colorado Belle. The expansion would include adding 100 hotel rooms, as well as expanding the casino and other public areas.
